Big Sandy and Boys to hit Italy, Chicago, Clevland, NYC and more!

Over the last 20 years, the Fly-Rite Boys and I have been fortunate enough to have toured quite extensively throughout Europe.... more times than I can remember, actually. But throughout the many thousands of kilometers we've logged there, we've never had the opportunity to venture over to The Boot, Lo Stivale.... Italy! Well, finally, I'll be able to put a check mark next to the name of the country that's been on the top of my places-to-visit list for years! Today I'll be leaving for Senigallia, IT to spend 10 glorious days at the 10th annual Summer Jamboree festival, where I'll be performing once with The Fly-Rite Boys, singing with Abbey Town Jazz Orchestra, and celebrating my 45th birthday with the help of Kim Lenz & the Jaguars AND Kitty, Daisy & Lewis! There are so many great bands and artists that are going to be there.... it's really mind-boggling. I mean, c'mon: MARVIN RAINWATER, HAYDEN THOMPSON, SONNY WEST, JOHNNY POWERS, SONNY BURGESS, DALE HAWKINS, RAY SHARPE, CARL MANN, RODDY JACKSON, SLEEPY LA BEEF, ROSIE FLORES, NICK CURRAN, RAY COLLINS' HOT CLUB, THE KEYTONES... and many more great European acts! Anybody care to make a very last-minute recklessly impulsive decision and join us there? Then check here: http://www.summerjamboree.com/

After, Italy... it's back to the good ol' US of A for a trip that starts in Chicago and ends in Rhode Island. Here are the places we'll be visiting - please do us a HUGE favor and help us get the word out on these shows:

Fri 8/28/09 - Fitzgerald's Berwyn, IL
Sat 8/29/09 - Beachland Ballroom Cleveland, OH
Sun 8/30/09 - Sportsmen's Tavern Buffalo, NY
Tue 9/01/09 - Iota Club & Cafe Arlington, VA
Wed 9/02/09 - World Cafe Live Philadelphia, PA
Thu 9/03/09 - Maxwell’s Hoboken, NJ
Fri 9/04/09 - Southpaw Brooklyn, NY
Sat 9/05/09 - Rhythm & Roots Festival Charlestown, RI
Sun 9/06/09 -Rhythm & Roots Festival Charlestown, RI

Alright then... that's it for now. Gotta go fold my chonies and load up the ipod, Italia here we come...!

see you soon? GOOD!
THANKS!
