Big Sandy & his boys head to Pacific Northwest!

Just got back from a quick northerly jaunt up to Concord, Reno, and Sacramento, and whadda ya know? It's time to hop on Interstate 5 once again as we head out tonight for Kenmore WA, Portland OR, and Seattle WA. Thanks to all of you who came out to see us over the last week... and there were plenty of ya! A special "THANK YOU" goes out to Shonda and to The Poor Boys C.C. for having us at Midnight Mass. It was a real blast!

Had a blast. . .
this past weekend out at The Olivas Adobe in Ventura! We had a nice enthusiastic crowd during the first set, but as the sun went down and we kicked in to set number two. it really filled up. All in all it was yet another beautiful California evening!

FLY-RITE UPDATE: West Returns, BS in Ventura, Fullerton

FLY-RITE UPDATE!!
Howdy friends! Seems like it's been a while since I've checked in with y'all! Over the last few weeks we've been rehearsing overtime, working to get ol' Jeff West back into the groove of things on the bass fiddle. As many of you know, Jeff had difficulties with his left hand and arm last year which lead to an operation and left him out of commission for several months. During that time, we were lucky enough to acquire the services of one Mr. Kevin Stewart... who, by the way, did an incredible job of filling the spot while bringing his own style and flair to the picture. On that note... I'd like to thank Kevin for all the time he put into helping us out! Thanks bub!

And the beat goes on...
Rehearsals have been going really well and we're itching to let it show this Saturday night (July 18th) at The Olivas Adobe in Ventura, CA. For those of you who dig a bit of Califor-ni-yay history, this authentic 1847 adobe hacienda is well worth checking out. We played this event ("Music Under The Stars") last year... and I'm not exaggerating by saying that it was a magical experience. Ok, ok... maybe it was the tequila, but this is a perfect spot to take in some fine music (if I do say so myself) while wining and dining as the sun sets beneath the California skies.
